Reliability and Validity

I found this in the Metro news paper this morning:

Personally I think the data is nonsense!! If you would like to challenge yourself I would encourage you to consider the reliability and validity.

Think about the WAY the data was collected (questionnaire, interview?)
Is this data replicable? If so what should we expect? How could we test it for reliability?
Is the data valid? Think about the data collection - does it measure what it claims? Does it have ecological validity?

Enjoy! Pass your thoughts onto me and I'll give you some feedback!

Prezi - Milgram evaluation

Here's the link to the Milgram prezi I made.  It has some but not all of the evaluation points you could use.  Remember to use PEE when evaluation (Point... Explain it... Example/Evidence)

eg. Milgram's study is biased (point), this is because his population only consisted of males and therefore his findings are only generalisable for males aged 20-50 (explain).  His participants were white males aged 20 to 50 (evidence).
